I need a shower! This picture was what I was thinking when I started simple a bunch of water overhead heated by the sun and a a simple setup... What I got was so much more elaborate and overdone I let my ADD run wild...   I am so done with the truck stops and the hotel showers on the weekends time to upgrade here! 3 x 3 framed  (size of a pallet) getting that plastic wood at the bottom with a pan to catch the water and retribute it to the plants and fruit trees. It will hold me over until I get the indoor greenhouse shower by winter time.

This project was going to be a simple quick project that developed into a more elaborate one.

First step was selecting where to put said shower. I wanted it next to the the tiny home but next to the hot / cool tub.

I got a sweet spot for the hot tub overlooking the valley. Now clearing a spot making sure I got the proper cutout in the ground allowing the drain pan (underneath the shower ) to reclaim the water elsewhere.

Got the location picked out now for the digging to commence. I specifically did not  grub or remove vegetation as much as possible. I want the home to blend in with the environment. I found a washing machine drip pan of Facebook for $15 dollars with a drain that I can then in turn run to water other plants or store it in a container to reuse the shower water for other plants.

Digging the holes was hard enough. I put 8' foot posts 15" in the ground and poured fast post hole concrete to secure them.

I wanted the drain pan to fit directly below the platform it to catch the grey water so it can be recycled later.

Building the platform to stand on was pretty straightforward. I put all the boards at a angle instead of straight. Cutting all the angles was a challenge I just wanted to make things more difficult for myself.

All that is left to do is run the Sawzall around the edges.

Got the bottom of the platform finished

Very sturdy 2x6 planks were used to secure the top and bottom with 3 inch screws into the frame.

Had my friend Brandy attach on the siding. I got some old cedar reclaimed fence boards free so just had to cut the split ends and trim it up. simple 1 1/2 inch screws worked great.

I got a 500 gallon water tank just for the shower I am going to build a simple pump box hooked up to some solar panel, charge controller  and a 12v battery.

Yea I put in a window frame on one side. I found a old farmhouse window for 10 bucks on Facebook marketplace a long time ago so I am going to put it on hinges so it swings out for some ventilation. Got to start working on the roof and pipework going to the shower.

Got a great view  as you take a nice warm shower.

Trenching starts on the water supply from the tank to the shower got to dig at least a foot deep with rock infested soil.

The project is like coming along in layers. Expect to get a lot done over the weekend.

Got the pipe for the shower head at the base I am building a little pump box to house the 12V pump battery and solar panel. I will hide the piping and wiring after insulating it with a wooden façade. If I choose to add a on demand hot water camp shower later then so be it.

reminds me of a guard shack at some facility somewhere.

After the canvas was sandwiched between the slats screws were put through them.

Door is mounted need a handle and latch for outside and inside.

I found a really old single pane window from a house a while back and I wanted to incorporate that into the build.

Got a view out the side facing the front gate still able to see everything

Got a custom door handle and latch to keep the door shut in the wind.

I cannot wait to try this out!!! This is going to be the best! Hot water in the middle of the freggin desert! GTFO!

Home stretch got the piping left and of course the battery box, battery and rv 12 volt pump... I even found a latch to put on the door to keep it from blowing off in the wind.

Got the pump inside the box and all the connections. The spigot for the garden hose is mounted, now I am able to use to water surrounding plants, trees, or fill up the nearby hot tub.

Covered water pump box

Got the line berried in the ground and connected to the water tank

Put up a wooden screen to hide the 500 gallon water tank that sits on the hill. Remember if you can see someone has a resource so can others.

Got a custom made box to cover the spigot so the valve is protected from the elements.
