A guy I have been following is Bob Wells a van dweller who was my inspiration for myself for me actually living in my van.
I do have a job but due to the distance from home and not wanting to spend $40 to $80 dollars a night on a room and or pay rent I opt to live an alternative lifestyle (and save a ton of money).
I want to make the trip to Quartzsite Arizona where each year the nomadic dwellers get a chance to meet up once a year called the Rubber Tramp Rendezvous. It happens to be in the month of January 11th through the 22nd.
Bob Wells was featured in the Documentary Without Bounds, a Perspective on mobile living and in fact he is the first person you are introduced to in the documentary...you meet Bob at about the

friendships will be made.
There is an abundance of BLM land where you can camp for free... this is mostly the case in all instances unless there are signs with restrictions.
The town is set up with the basic needs of RV'ers and Snowbirds so getting water and disposing waste and trash and buying supplies is easy.
Vendors are out in full effect from goods to food giving a fair type atmosphere. Quartzsite is famous for gems and minerals.
Thre are some rules if you go to the camp so be sure to follow the rules.
You will make friends no matter how introverted and that is the main thing is the tribal community it's a give and take and of like-minded souls that live outside the mainstream.
Come in your tent your call whatever yourself. If you have a Car, Van, Motorhome5 wheel or trailer if you are a nomad or aspiring to be one this is for you.
If you are interested in working as a campground host you are almost certain to find a job.
This is a group of misfits that will accept you.. if you want more information on this meetup click here.
There are Seminars and you will meet with other experienced van dwellers at the RTR and go over basic subjects and hear from others that have experience.
Bob is an approachable and friendly guy and welcomes all who wants to camp with him to camp...you can reach Bob at akrvbob@gmail.com.
